We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology and innovation efforts at Evolve Energy a leader in the utility energy sector. Scope of the Role
As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in Evolve Energy, your key objective will be to oversee a review and change programme of in-house technological systems including:
Developing and executing a long-term technology strategy that aligns with business objectives and industry trends, ensuring sustainability, efficiency, and growth.
Conducting a comprehensive review of existing technology systems, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement, particularly in areas like data management, automation, and system integration.
Lead the implementation of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer service, and reduce costs, while ensuring scalability.
Ensure that all technological systems adhere to regulatory standards, cybersecurity protocols, and data privacy laws.
Build on our existing system capability to collect, analyse, and interpret data to inform product and business decisions, ensuring that growth is driven by actionable insights.
Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring that partnerships align with business goals and offer optimal performance.
Oversee the technology budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently for both short-term needs and long-term technological advancements.
Collaborate with the operational and finance team to ensure technical strategies align with business goals and operational needs
Ensure systems are in place to monitor the real time health of our platforms, infrastructure and performance
These responsibilities focus on optimizing current systems while implementing transformative changes to enhance overall operational performance.
The Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications are a plus. A demonstrable track record as a CTO or equivalent, encompassing 10+ years of experience, preferably in the utility or energy sector.
A proven track record in scaling technical operations to the next level of growth
Demonstrable experience in leading large-scale complex software transformation projects
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and operational excellence.
