Scope of the Role

The Graduate Trade Desk Executive will develop the knowledge and skills to manage clients’ electricity and gas trading strategy and activities. Reporting to the Head of Trading & Pricing they will be responsible for learning how to trade energy, understanding risk strategies and budget risks, whilst developing relationships with our existing and potential customers. We provide full training and continuous coaching inhouse you will be given full in-depth regulated industry knowledge and have all the tools necessary to help you personally grow your career with the business.

The ideal candidate

  • Graduate level in an analytically based discipline i.e. finance, maths, economics, science or equivalent experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Adaptable, with a willingness to learn

  • Passion for creativity and fun

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly organised, with good time management skills

  • Self-motivated

  • Adaptable, with a willingness to learn

  • Computer literate – Excel, Word, Mac & Windows OS.
